The 'Great House' on Heysham Head. The exact date of building is uncertain. It was originally named 'The Barrows', later Heysham Lodge (not to be confused with the entrance lodge known as 'The Gatehouse') which was the entrance to the Great House. Sometime after Heysham Head was turned into an Amusement Park, the Great House became part cafe, part residence and later an amusement arcade. Steps led down from the house into the rose garden.
